Alaska Range 11 a.m. in January
What a beautiful day it was today!
So much so that we went for a drive trying to find the perfect spot to take photos of the mountains. Alaska Range 11:30 a.m. We did some of that, but up here the sun moves so fast you don’t have much time to get from one place to the next. So, our efforts, may not be the best photos, but it was a great sight for our eyes. More mountains!!!
One of the things we thought was really cool, was how the snow clung to the trees. Thursday we recieved about 8-10 inches over night, that is unusual for us. But you can see the trees are loving it, the buds are there waiting for spring as are we. Buds on snowy trees
You could tell (at about one) when the sun hit it’s high point for the day that the sun is getting stronger. I actually had to put my visor down while driving, and I have NOT had to do that for about 4 months it seems.
Ah! This is why we love Alaska…

Beautiful pics. I see why you and Thane love Alaska … but I’ll have to wait till it’s warmer out to visit.
Have a great week, blog-sister.

Nope, all that driving and NO moose… But today while we were in fellowship listening to the service, 3 came into the yard there. So everyone had to get up and go watch out the windows for a few minutes. Isn’t that nice?
It was a family too! Bull, cow & calf, guess they were needing some enlightenment today as well.
